big deal, two shows on the same night, both should do fine. i dont care for duress or any punker than thou bullshit, but the other bands on that bill are awesome. i might try to attend both if i have the time/energy.
fubar is awesome, especially since the lounge opened up for music. apop/cranky yellow are my jam too.
I haven't been to ITR yet because I was born in belleville, and try to avoid it. I have bad memories of almost everytime i've been back, but I'm stoked on what i've heard what's goin on there compared to the venues that've bit the dust there before. I'm glad that new crop of bands/kids have popped up and are down as hell.
Still, i'm sick of this cherokee st. punx vs. party dorks with big mouths i consort with vs. tough guy standoff. It's been going on for most of the past decade and it's childish, not the funny kind of childish either. we're all goofballs and we're all on the same team. the enemy is myspace-core bands, pop's metal, shitty promoters, etc.
there are bigger fish to fry than breaking into sects. turnouts have been better recently, but they could get even bigger if the locals on the bill were more diverse, there's a billion side bands in town that would accent almost any touring act just fine without making everything so repetitive. blah blah blah, rant rant rant.
also, justin, nothing personal, but if you quit being an instigating internet jagoff about everything, maybe more people than jeff co would play/attend your shows as well.
