THE RETURN OF HOAX! If you weren't smart enough to see them play here last year while they were still relatively unknown, now you have a chance to redeem yourself, poseur.
HOAX (w. massholes) hope you're not already burnt out from the hype. But out of every band that has tourists swinging from their beanbag, this is the band that most deserves it. They are just THAT good! It's brutal and heavy, yet catchy. Led by an STL ex-pat, this band plays hardcore that just sounds evil. Hardcore that makes you want to unapologetically destroy something you love. Every once in awhile a band shows up that makes something in your head snap, and you lose any sort of control over yourself. In most recent years people would cite 86 Mentality's Intro/Life Trap as the perfect defense in a court of law. No jury in the lower 48 have yet to convict a man of crimes committed if this song was found to be the reason. 3 release from this band (demo and 2 7ins) and every one of them is a mandatory purchase. My favorite part about this band is that it's essentially comprised of Wash U students.
