The Black Tie Operation is a pop-punk group from Albany, NY. I'm told that they are a very involved D-I-Y music entity in their area. You'll be playing for free (all money minus $25 goes to Black Tie Operation). I have a small PA, but it should be enough. I have asked the Humanoids to play (still haven't received an answer). Like all shows at Cranky Yellow, the show starts at 8 PM, is $5, all ages and BYOB. |

Actually, DON'T book the Mondales.
They asked to be put on a show, and I put them on Black Tie Operation from Albany more than a month ahead of time and not only did the Mondales NOT show up, they didn't call or email or let me know that they were canceling.
Flaky dudes who beg for shows then not show up. Ya'll can fuck off.

So I guess I'll repost my response here too: I'm sorry about our lack of communication. I actually had a family emergency the night before the show and was quiet rattled for almost that entire week. Also, my Webster Email deleted the email you had sent me over a month ago, so I had no way to contact you after I was ready. Also, if it makes you feel any better, I called Mikey (from another band that was playing, Gang Control) that night and asked him for someone I could contact to apologize for our truancy. He said he would get back to me, but never called back. Usually we aren't that flaky, in fact that was the ONLY show we've ever skipped in our three years of playing shows. I'mma wrap this up, but, I just wanted to apologize for not showing up. Sorry we pissed you off so much, Adrian B. |
