i give no fucks where bands play a room is a room. I like places that treat bands well and provide as little stress as possible for the person putting on the show. Sometimes it's worth a little extra to be able to show up to a venue and not worry about shit like tracking down a PA or cleaning up at the end of the night, just plug in and play (Fubar) Sometimes you need to maximize the cash for the band from a dismal turnout, or you just feel like getting ripped from your own 24 pack and throwing shit around. (Cranky) I've been treated well by both. Sometimes at Fubar you might have an unsavory character or two, but then again sometimes you have that at Cranky. The only difference is that at Cranky they're called "art students." |
